Copyright / DMCA Policy
Effective date: July 4, 2026
We respect intellectual property and expect users to do the same. Organizers are responsible for having rights to the names, logos, and images they upload.
If you believe content on HometownSquares infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at support [at] hometownsquares [dot] com (subject: "DMCA Notice") including: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) the URL of the infringing material; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice and notify the user who posted it. That user may submit a counter-notice with the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g); if we receive one, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the complaining party files a court action. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
(Attorney-review flag: to get full DMCA safe-harbor protection, register a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office at dmca.copyright.gov — it costs $6 and takes minutes. Do this when convenient.)
